McCarthy Fuels is a family-owned and operated business serving the Ottawa Valley for four generations. The business provides fuel and propane to residential and commercial customers across Renfrew County and into neighbouring communities. We are a company with strong roots in the region and our commitment to our customers reflects that deep history.

We are recruiting for someone to join our Office Administration team. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is an in-office position.

Our Office Administration team handles a variety of tasks that enable the company to operate smoothly and efficiently. We value our team environment and our focus in recruiting for this role is to find the best fit to join us. This position reports to our Office Manager.

Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

• Handling customer inquiries by phone, mail, email and in-person visits
• Taking orders, taking payments and providing accurate paperwork
• Following up with customers for business-related purposes
• Assisting with accounts receivable
• Working with customers to address inquiries
• Working with the administration team to ensure the office runs smoothly
• Assisting with other general office and administrative duties

• Skills in working with customers of all ages and being courteous and professional in handling inquiries
• Interested in learning new things and being able to add more to the team
• General computer knowledge; experience with Excel and Word is beneficial
• Being able to communicate easily and respectfully in English, and in written and verbal forms
• Comfortable with training
• Well-organized and someone who is a team-oriented worker
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping or another financial background is an asset
