Murphy Ford is a third-generation Ford dealership that has been a part of the Ottawa Valley community since 1966. The service department is an integral part of our dealership. We provide a wide range of quality care services to help keep our customers’ vehicles in great shape all year.

We are currently recruiting for a Parts Advisor. This is a full-time position.

The Parts Advisor frequently deals with the customer, advising them on parts for their vehicle. This position involves having good product knowledge (which we will provide) and being able to explain the parts to the customer and following up to ensure they are satisfied with the experience. This is an important customer service role.

General duties include:

  • Providing quotes on parts
  • Organizing and maintaining the parts department and workspace
  • Assisting in managing and stocking inventory
  • Answering phone calls, greeting customers, scheduling appointments and other counter duties for the department
  • Managing communications within the parts department and the customer
  • Completing appropriate documentation for the dealership and the customer
  • Keeping current with dealership training requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum of grade 12 education; additional education is considered an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills with previous experience in a customer service role
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and how they function is an asset, though we provide full training
  • Comfortable talking to customers
  • Committed to learning the dealership parts and services protocols
  • Show attention to detail, be results-oriented and dependable
  • Able to manage multiple tasks
Additional Information

The position is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed.
