Eganville and District Seniors and Whitewater Seniors have missions to provide activities, services and support to seniors, disabled individuals and others in our service areas.
We are recruiting for a Home Support Coordinator, Whitewater Seniors. This position is 21 to 28 hours per week, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm. Flexibility is required for occasional evenings.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering programs that support seniors in maintaining independence, health, and quality of life within their homes and communities in the Whitewater Region area.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement home support programs, services, and special events
- Organize Meals on Wheels, congregate dining, frozen meals, transportation, friendly visiting and telephone support
- Conduct client intake, assessment, and eligibility determination
- Maintain accurate records of clients, volunteers, and services
- Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Promote programs through social media and community outreach
- Identify opportunities to improve services and develop new programs
- Recruit, screen, train, and assign volunteers
- Supervise and evaluate volunteer performance
- Maintain volunteer records and statistics
- Foster positive relationships and recognize volunteer contributions
- Process invoices, payments, donations, and make bank deposits
- Prepare expense reports and assist with budgeting
- Support grant research, applications, and reporting
- Maintain petty cash and financial documentation
- Maintain program statistics and reporting databases
- Support fundraising initiatives and special events
- Assist with promotional materials, advertising, and communications
- Liaise with community organizations and partners
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and funding requirements
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and resource materials
- Participate in training and professional development

- Proficiency in computer systems, office administration, and data management
- Experience in administration, event planning, volunteer coordination, and research
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with seniors
- Excellent organizational, planning, and report writing skills
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and sound judgment
- A friendly attitude, supportive, and cooperative
- Enjoy working relationship with seniors, volunteers and others
- Reliable, caring, courteous, trustworthy, and responsible.
- Willing to attend professional education and training
- A genuine interest in people and a desire to provide support to someone in need
- Knowledge of Whitewater Region resources and community connections
- Criminal reference check and vulnerable sector screening
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- First Aid-CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

There is a six-month probation period with this role. Overtime is paid as lieu time with prior approval. Approved travel, training and related expenses are reimbursed.
