St. Joseph Non-Profit Housing Corporation provides rent-geared-to-income (RGI) housing to seniors and families. The current employees are dedicated to maintaining a safe and clean physical environment.

We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Worker. This is a seasonal position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.The term for this role is negotiable. This in-person position is being funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

Working closely with our full-time maintenance staff, the Grounds Maintenance Worker will assist with outdoor and indoor caretaking. Duties will range from landscaping and grass-cutting, to painting, cleaning and other various installations and repairs.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual with some technical skills looking to expand their hands-on experience and knowledge. Much of the successful candidate's day will be spent outdoors.

• 17-30 years old (as per the grant requirements)
• Valid class G driver’s license
• Experience using landscaping equipment and tools including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, trimmers, and other basic lawn care equipment
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labour
• Self-motivated
• Good time management
• Attention to detail
• Must be adaptable
• A willingness to learn new skills
