Elmira Stove Works is a manufacturer of high-end heritage and retro-styled kitchen appliances. The business was established in 1975 with the rights to manufacture a Findlay Oval cookstove. Over the years, the business expanded to additional lines of stoves, refrigerators, wall ovens, microwaves and dishwashers. In 2022, the business was acquired by Plaintree Systems of Arnprior.
We are currently recruiting for an Appliance Assembler for appliance manufacturing with Elmira Stove Works Inc. This is a full-time, permanent position. This is an entry-level position so while previous experience is an asset, full training is required. If you're looking for a new position, this could be it!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble fabricated metal products
- Use drawings, process plans, and small hand tools
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with equipment, devices, or products
- Work as a team member as well as independently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices, including protective equipment where required

- Interested in assembling appliance products
- Prefer someone with working knowledge in mechanical assembly, sub-assembly, fabrication of wiring and controls
- Able to read and understand drawings and schematics
- Detail-oriented and consistent
- Able to work with hand tools, including drills
- Proficient in basic mathematics, reading, or writing
- Equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
