We are currently recruiting for a Child and Family Protection Worker in Eganville. This is a full-time position.

The Child and Family Protection Worker (CFPW) may be assigned to investigation, ongoing protection, or integrated and community-based roles, depending on service needs.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assess safety and risk, determine service responses, and collaborate with families, communities, and collateral partners
  • Receive and assess new referrals, conduct investigative interviews, develop safety plans, gather and analyze information
  • Provide case management, permanency planning, service coordination, and court preparation and support
  • Build respectful, collaborative relationships with children, youth, families, and communities
  • Complete investigations, case management, and service planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in supervision, team collaboration, and professional development
  • Coordinate services with internal teams, collateral agencies, and Indigenous partners
  • Conduct investigative interviews with children, caregivers, and collateral contacts
  • Facilitate access to supports and coordinate service delivery
  • Provide after-hours emergency services as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in child welfare or social services
  • Knowledge of child-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse service and staff population
  • A proven commitment to anti-oppression, equity, and inclusivity in practice
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and evidence-informed skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems; openness to learning new technologies
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
