The Town of Renfrew invites applications for the role of Skate Patrol Attendant.  

The Skate Patrol Attendant plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all public skating participants. The successful candidate will monitor the skating area, ensure safety policies and procedures are followed, and respond appropriately and effectively to First Ad situations when required.

Public skating events are typically held twice per week from September 2026 to May 2027. Students will share the available shifts, which may result in approximately one or two hours per week. Additional public skating opportunities will be scheduled during Christmas Break and March Break.

Qualifications
  • A confident and proficient skater
  • Previous experience working in a recreational setting is an asset
  • Experience enforcing and promoting safety rules and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to remain calm, attentive, and responsive in emergency or First Aid situations
