Description:

Triodetic is recruiting for a Project Manager with strong experience in structural engineering, structural steel, project management, estimating, and client relations. This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will manage projects involving Triodetic structural systems such as geodesic domes, multipoint foundations, architectural structures, roof systems, and other specialized steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage structural steel projects from project initiation through design coordination and delivery.
  • Coordinate engineering and CAD activities, including drawings, 3D models, technical documentation, and project priorities.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate project activities to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and client requirements.
  • Plan and manage project budgets, prepare construction project budget estimates, and support estimating, proposals, and technical-commercial discussions.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and engineering teams to support project execution.
  • Review project information, drawings, specifications, and technical requirements, and coordinate requirements with internal teams.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to identify requirements, provide project updates, clarify requirements, and support issue resolution.
  • Prepare and review contracts and support negotiations regarding revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements, as required.
  • Establish and implement quality control procedures and programs for project delivery.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems and coordinate CAD-related project activities.
  • Read and review blueprints, schematics, drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Direct or coordinate the purchase of building materials and other project requirements, as applicable.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate project records, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Review and evaluate project and development proposals and provide technical input.
  • Advise project teams and identify coordination issues, working with the team to develop practical solutions.
  • Contribute to technical sales by presenting Triodetic structural solutions and responding to client needs.
  • Coordinate projects and programs and monitor progress, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
  • A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in structural engineering, including experience with structural steel or specialty structure projects.
  • A minimum of three years of project management and coordination experience, including responsibility for project scope, schedules, resources, engineering activities, and technical documentation.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the geometrical and structural design of specialized steel structures (spaceframe, domes and shell structures)
  • A minimum of three years of experience with structural steel projects.
  • Ability to coordinate engineering and CAD activities, manage project schedules and documentation, and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in estimating, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Strong client and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Experience in technical sales or commercial support is an asset.
  • English proficiency is required; Spanish proficiency is an asset
