We currently have an opening for a Plant Controller. This is a full-time position.
Reporting to the Division Controller, the Plant Controller will provide financial analytics that drive business results in support of the short-term and long-term value of the assets, liabilities, and investments of the plant. This role delivers analysis as part of the finance processes, linking financial results to operational performance drivers, while providing valuable decision support analysis and driving business success. This is a senior position within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial transactions, including general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy
- Develop and implement accounting procedures and controls to maintain financial integrity
- Supervise payroll, general accounting, and accounts payable, leading a team of three
- Oversee Canadian business reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to leadership
- Collaborate with mill management to provide financial insights that drive business decisions
- Manage the preparation of annual plans and business cycle forecasts
- Adhere to and promote health and safety policies while modeling core values
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs
