McGrimmon Holdings is a provider of rental apartments, townhomes and commercial properties in the Ottawa Valley. We currently manage more than 50 properties in the Renfrew and Cobden area. McGrimmon Holdings is currently recruiting for a Receptionist-Bookkeeper. This is a full-time position.

The Receptionist-Bookkeeper is responsible for answering the phone, interacting with customers while assisting with day to day accounting for payables and receivables. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Manages accounts payable ensuring deadlines are met
  • Accounts receivable & collections
  • Vendor payments
  • Liaise with the Accountant-Controller
  • Review, authorize and submit invoices for payment
  • Organize travel, event and other planning and arrangements
  • Managing the office filing system
  • Coordinate and manage office responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping best practices
  • Post-secondary education in administration or bookkeeping or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Previous work experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role in a busy office environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, email and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability multi-task and prioritize
  • Attention to detail
  • Priority on delivering quality customer service
  • Experience with QuickBooks would be considered an asset
  • Fluency in both English and French would be considered an asset
