Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (AoPFN) is a proud and progressive Algonquin community. Pikwakanagan is situated on the shores of Golden Lake and the Bonnechere River in Renfrew County. Located off of Highway 60, our community is 90 minutes west of Ottawa and 90 minutes hours east of Algonquin Park.

We are currently recruiting for an Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of Operations. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Executive Assistant will assist in the day-to-day administrative duties of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan. The person in this role will provide executive and administrative assistance in meeting the established goals and objectives of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of post-secondary in the executive assistant or secretarial field, or successful completion of secondary education with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an office environment
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute with a minimum 95 per cent accuracy rate
  • Experience in recording and transcribing minutes
  • Knowledge of various office procedures and office technology gained through work experience
