We are growing our team at Marianhill in response to the new Fixing Long-Term Care Act. We are increasing the number of personal support worker and registered practical nurse staff and to assist with this growth in our organization. Therefore, we are recruiting for a Coordinator of Quality Improvement and Risk Management

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role has the following responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with the key elements of strategic and public quality improvement planning;
  • An understanding of outcome measurement and statistical analysis
  • Consult and support all departments and committees on matters related to QI/RM and relevant legislation (i.e. Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2022) including the creation and publication of policies and procedures
  • Facilitates QI/RM activities, provides project support and documents results and accomplishments of QI initiatives
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, employment legislation and organizational roles and responsibilities
  • Identifies, reports and prevents workplace incidents
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, health information or currently a regulated health care professional (Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, etc)
  • A minimum of three years of clinical, project leadership or management experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of strategic planning, quality improvement and risk management resulting in statistical analysis best suited for the organization.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Satisfactory, criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screen) result.

Please note proof as per Marianhill policy of required vaccinations, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, etc., is required as well as proof of a two-step Mantoux TB skin test. You will be required to provide an original, vulnerable sector criminal record check clear of any/all offences and sign a declaration at time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer and you must participate in the N95 mask fit testing program as applicable.
