Ben Hokum and Son Limited in Killaloe is a progressive and growing sawmill and lumber company. We are the largest producer of red and white pine in Eastern Ontario and our lumber products are well-known in industry circles for their superior quality. Our company employs over 100 people and we sell our products throughout Canada and internationally.

In addition, we have recently made significant investments in our operations. Today, we have the most technologically-advanced sawmill in Eastern Ontario. We also have a new, start-of-the-art, automated lumber grading facility.

We are currently recruiting for Sawmill Labourers at our Golden Lake location. These are full-time positions.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• General clean up in the sawmills, shovel sawdust, chips and bark
• Discard broken pieces of lumber
• Working in both the large log mill and small log mill as helpers on the production line
• Working in the grading line on the production line
• Adhering to all safe operating procedures

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the job
• Excellent communication skills to ensure work is completed on time and with the quality we expect
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
• Previous sawmill experience is an asset
