The Town of Arnprior is currently inviting students to apply for 2021 summer employment opportunities. There are a number of positions available over the summer months in various departments including operations, recreation, clerk’s office, museum and library.

Job Descriptions

Qualifications

In order to qualify for a position, students must be:

  • At least 16 years of age or older;
  • Enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program on a full-time basis; and
  • Returning to school on a full-time basis following their summer employment.

Conditional Requirements

A satisfactory vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required prior to commencement of employment for positions working with members of the public (all ages). A VSC is completed on successful candidates who are 18 years of age or older. For positions with access to town vehicles, the student must have a valid G driver’s licence in good standing.

Students are welcome to apply for more than one position, however, you must specify each position you are applying for within your application. Interested students are invited to submit a cover letter and resume no later than 3:00pm on February 12, 2021.

Please note that the wage, term and schedule for all summer student positions are subject to council approval of the 2021 budget and dependent on the COVID-19 situation. In addition, the library and museum positions, terms and schedules are dependent on grant funding.
