The Community Resource Centre is a multi-service community hub with locations across the Killaloe, Barry’s Bay, and Whitney regions. We offer innovative holistic programs to support children, youth, adults, seniors, and families to learn new skills, build on their strengths, access supports and services, and work together to nurture positive individual and community growth.
We are currently recruiting a Toy Bus Mobile EarlyON Educator to work in Killaloe. This position is four days a week with the potential to become a full-time role.
Toy Bus is a place for families and caregivers with children aged 0-6 to take part in programs and
activities together. Toy Bus strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment that engages children and stimulates creativity and learning in every experience. These programs strengthen children’s abilities to build their self-help, social/emotional, reasoning and language skills and most importantly, help to prepare them for school.
In this role you will:
- Provide program planning and delivery
- Assist children with inquiry-based learning opportunities that stimulate their senses
- Lead reading, storytelling, singalongs and games
- Use your ECE background to provide advice to parents and caregivers
- Guide children on important social and life skills, while offering encouragement and mutual respect
- Connect families and young children
