We are currently recruiting for a Quality Analyst for our Renfrew manufacturing site. This is a full-time position.

The Quality Analyst is involved in broad scope quality responsibilities for the site including raw material specifications, control of non-conforming material, customer complaints investigation, equipment calibration, cable lab activities coordination, quality system maintenance, internal audits, supplier audits, and general problem solving. This individual is a key member of the operations support team responsible for the overall operational effectiveness of the site.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors quality control data and shift reports daily to identify quality problems, recommend remedial action, and implement actions.
• Assists with the training and guidance of manufacturing staff for specific requirements and implementation of process improvements.
• Provides technical expertise for quality control process including product testing and release.
• Ensures that non-conforming internal material issues are documented and resolved.
• Provides occasional coverage for lab technicians.
• Oversee the control of the critical raw material based on the established control plans.
• Ensures that raw material quality defects are communicated immediately.
• Participate in off-site supplier and internal audits.
• Ensures conformance with the customer specific requirements.
• Perform analysis and investigation of customer complaints, performing continuous improvement framework and familiar with detail root-cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, 5W, Ishikawa, Pareto, SPC, FMEA
• Oversees the calibration system and maintains test equipment calibrations.
• Establishes and maintains work instructions and procedures.

Additional Job Details

• Post-secondary education (preferably in sciences) or equivalent job experience
• A minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing experience is an asset
• Good analytical and risk assessment skills
• Computer skills and technology acumen in Microsoft Office Suite, control charts, development and monitoring quality KPIs, databases processing, and the use of spreadsheets
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable providing training and interacting permanently with stakeholders to improve the quality of processes and products
• Experience working with SAP or any other ERP system is an asset
