The Pembroke Animal Hospital is a companion animal health care and wellness provider. Our goal is to help make your pet ownership more enjoyable through better health and a better understanding of your pet. The hospital operates a main central hospital in Pembroke and a network of satellite offices: Deep River Animal Services, in Deep River; and Mohns Avenue Veterinary Services, in Petawawa.

 Pembroke Animal Hospital is recruiting for a Receptionist. This can be a part-time or a full-time position that will work at both our Pembroke and Petawawa locations.

The person who fits well with us is someone who values working with a team, and who demonstrates compassion and care.

Sample responsibilities include:

• Updating client records
• Interacting with the customers for booking appointments and follow-ups
• Customer communication in person, by phone and by email
• Processing financial transactions
• Answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Triaging patients

• Previous customer service experience including having an excellent telephone manner
• Able to multi-task; we can be a busy place at times
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software
• The ability to be calm and consistent in a busy practice
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Experience in the animal field is an asset
• A strong work ethic
• Detail-oriented
