Bonnechere Valley is a small municipality with plenty to offer residents in every season. The main village of Eganville is located at the junction of Highways 41 and 60, a major transportation route for trucks and vehicles travelling to and through those destinations. The municipality is known for its lake and rivers especially the Bonnechere River which flows directly through the village.

We are currently recruiting for a Community Development Administrator. This is a 12-month contract position.

 Under the Direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Community Development Administrator will promote activities and events from community organizations and community development programs and services of the municipality. This role will perform routine and complex administrative work in planning, organizing, coordinating and administering a variety of events and festivals. This role also involves providing reception, clerical and financial assistance to the municipal administration and finance department.

• Good knowledge of office management, as normally acquired through a community college diploma or equivalent
• Two years of office management experience
• Working knowledge of computer software
• Proven success in writing grant proposals is an asset
• Previous experience in a municipal environment is an asset
• Must be a self-starter
• Able to work independently
• Capable of meeting time schedules or deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be bondable

This position requires a self-motivated person with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills who will make every effort to maintain or exceed the present standards of the municipality.
