Since 1996, Pembroke MDF has been manufacturing a wide range of medium-density fibreboard and interior moulding products. Equipped with a parallel refining system and dual moulding lines, the Pembroke mill has an annual production capacity of 130 million square feet (3/4-inch basis). Our plant employs nearly 200 employees.

The Position
We currently have an opening for an Industrial Electrician Apprentice. This is a full-time positions.
The Electrical Apprentice will be responsible for assisting the licensed industrial electricians with installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
- Assist with preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
- Assist in the testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment
- Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications

Shift premiums:
- $1.50 per hour for night shifts (7:00pm-7:00am)
