St. John Ambulance is an international humanitarian organization and is the foundation of the Order of St. John. Our mission is to enable Canadians to improve their health, safety, and quality of life by providing training and community service. We carry out our mission through community service, and first aid, and CPR training.
We are currently recruiting for a Summer Student, Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time contract, 8-week position, running from June to August. The Summer Student, Administrative Assistant will provide training and administrative support to the branch.
Essential Duties:
- Process all training course registrations
- Handle phone and email registrations for First Aid classes
- Process all completed classes by invoicing and mailing certificates to participating companies
- Coordinate and organize both regularly scheduled and customer-tailored classes
- Coordinate instructors for classes and volunteer presentations
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery of class supplies to training locations
- Maintain training records and files
- Coordinate class supplies for pending classes
- Ensure the Alliance database is up to date with course information
- Maintain and control inventory of branch training class supplies, training equipment, and sales items
- Provide administrative support to the Branch Manager
