The PACE (Prepare. Achieve. Connect. Employ.) program is designed to assist youth (18+) with higher support needs and persons with disabilities in developing essential life and workplace skills. Through one-on-one guidance, hands-on workshops, and individualized goal setting, participants complete 20 hours of employment readiness workshops and activities in a supportive, flexible learning environment.
The Role
ontrac Employment Resource Services, Arnprior office, is recruiting a PACE Program Coordinator. This isa part-time position at 21 hours per week, and on a contract until March 31, 2027, with the possibility of an extension.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates enthusiasm in meeting ontrac’s expectations and standards which include customer-focused service, collaborative team performance and a high level of professionalism. The successful candidate will see value in being part of a cohesive team, is someone who will thrive in a results-oriented environment, puts people first, and can engage with clients regardless of their socio-economic circumstances.
Responsibilities:
- On-going case management and administrative responsibilities including capturing, recording and maintaining confidential information.
- Conduct 1:1 intake meetings to complete program applications and commitment forms.
- Assess client needs and determine suitability for the program, in partnership with ontrac employment coaches.
- Facilitate group workshops focused on employment readiness and workplace skills.
- Provide ongoing individualized coaching and support, identifying and supporting SMART goals and employment readiness plans.
- Devise, plan and implement job coaching strategies based on client needs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of vulnerable populations, the local labour market, ontrac community partners, social services, and educational institutes in our area.

- A working knowledge of job search techniques, tools, resources and programs available to support employment and training/retraining of unemployed persons.
- Able to work independently off-site while representing ontrac in a variety of settings, to promote the PACE program.
- As lifelong learning is a priority for ontrac, a willingness to participate in ongoing company learning.
- A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, or the ability to travel as required for the role.
- On occasion, participating in before and after hours activities is required.
- Previous professional experience in coaching adults and/or youth within the field of employment with case management responsibilities is a strength.
- Previous professional experience in working with marginalized populations, youth at risk, persons with disabilities, etc., is a strength.
