Description:

Active Chiropractic Family Health Centre, a busy clinic in Pembroke, is seeking a positive, health-promoting individual, who is organized and works well with people to join our team. This role is the Daytime Office Administrator and is a a part-time position building to a full-time position over time.

To begin, there will be a minimum of 20.5 daytime hours with the possibility of evening, weekend or additional daytime hours per week and building to a maximum of 42.5 hours. Currently, we are looking for availability Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (7:30am-11:30am) and Tuesdays (7:30am-4:30pm). There is some flexibility in scheduling. Eventually, we are looking for availability Mondays-Fridays 7:30am-4:30pm.

The Daytime Office Administrator has the following duties:

  • provides frontline service to the people who are most important to our clinic- our patients
  • supports the entire health care team
  • reception
  • answering and responding to telephone calls
  • computerized booking of appointments
  • invoicing and receiving payments from patients and third parties
  • preparing and submitting billings for patients to Blue Cross, HCAI, WSIB and other third parties as required according to established policies and procedures
  • organizing and retaining medical records according to established policies and procedures
  • ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies
  • managing correspondence including emailing and faxing work
  • some moderate cleaning duties (COVID protocols in place)

Training is provided.

Qualifications
  • Well-developed oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, email and the internet
  • A positive and professional demeanour
  • A meticulous work ethic and an ability to attend to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to take on new projects and challenges as they arise
  • Experience with electronic scheduling, EMR maintenance, Blue Cross, HCAI, WSIB and third-party billings
  • An understanding of medical terminology is an asset
  • Current CPR C/AED certification
