We are currently recruiting for a Coordinator, Information Technology (IT) Services. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, 12 months of the year. This position is based out of the board administration office in Pembroke.

A key member of the IT department, the Coordinator, Information Technology (IT) Services plans, coordinates and manages administrative systems and provides technical and system support and training to user groups in schools and administration. This position also coordinates and authorizes reporting of data to various ministry branches and oversees various areas of operation within IT.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain and support school and board administrative systems, including school mark reporting, scheduling and enrolment reporting systems, board payroll and financial systems, etc.
  • Advise school and administrative staff on ministry reporting requirements and ensure system compliance.
  • Participate as the board representative or liaison for administrative systems with the ministry, vendors and other school boards.
  • Supervise the design and development of additional ad hoc systems, reports and procedures as required.
  • Oversee various areas of operation within the IT department.
  • Supervise, coordinate, allocate and review the work of staff (approximately 6-8 staff).
  • Three-year post-secondary information technology diploma or degree, with specialized course work in software systems and four to six years of experience in the use of administrative systems; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of school system operating procedures, capabilities, limitations and system requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with access to personal vehicle for occasional travel to board sites.
