Madawaska Valley Association for Community Living (MVACL) is looking for employees who want to share in our mission: Working together to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities.

We are currently recruiting for Direct Support Professionals.

Direct Support Supervisors (DSS) and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) work directly with and on behalf of people who have a developmental disability, assisting them to articulate and achieve their personal outcomes. He or she will support people with personal growth, assist them to participate in the community, and help them to enhance their quality of life.

  • DSW diploma preferred or equivalent post-secondary diploma (ECE, SSW or Police Foundations)
  • Recent and relevant experience in a direct support human service role
  • Valid G class licence
  • Emergency First Aid Level C and CPR certification
  • Current CPI certification
  • Criminal Reference Check/Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication
